If so, recruiters for technology companies may want to speak with you.

That’s good news for thousands of product managers and software developers. Most hope to find golden handcuffs and ghost stock options.

But what is the reason behind this mad dash for top talent, especially in Technology?

According to IBM Center for Applied Insights, cloud services spending could be more than $180 billion. It is also predicted that the global market for cloud equipment will reach $79.1 billion by 2018.

That a means there will be more opportunity to work for companies like “Don’t Be Evil” Google.

The bad news:

  • Google prefers Ivy Leaguers.
  • It cares about your GPA, even if you’re in your 30s.
  • It wants people who want to change the world.

Worse yet, even if you meet all those requirements, you still have to go in for your Google interview.

“There are over 140 Google interview questions,” said Lewis Lin, a Washington-based job hunting consultant.  He would know. He documented all the questions from his job-search clients.

After I graduated from Purdue University, my first job was with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  During one of the interviews, someone asked the same “manhole” question Google does…

Wondering How To Make Your Job Interview Rock With Me? Read This!

I have held hundreds of job interviews. I’m proud to say, that my questions have helped avoid hiring mistakes and uncover superstar talent in less than 7 minutes.

I ask only 3 prepared questions. But in the first interview, I only ask one powerful question that has thrown 80% of interviewees off their script.

This powerful question reveals almost everything I need to know on a first interview:

  • Is she inquisitive?
  • Did she research our company or my background?
  • Will she be a good fit with our company culture?

The best job interview question on first interviews for a hiring manager is…

“What questions do you have for me?”

For the first 15 minutes, my team members do the interrogative style question. Around the 17 minute mark, I come in shake-hands, sit-down, and listen. When they finish discussing, they look at me and say, “Kendall, do you have any questions?”

As the great chef, Emeril Lagasse said, “BAM!”

Let the fun begin…
